Ruth started working in kennels whilst still at school and at 16 moved on to train at a kennel staff training college and satellite for Battersea Dogs Home in Windsor. Passionate about getting animals healthy enough to rehome, Ruth worked with the Battersea dogs and cats for several years. In 2011 she started her Veterinary Nursing course, before qualifying in 2014.

Having recently relocated to Somerset to be closer to family, Ruth has two children at University, and two Dandie Dinmont terriers. In her spare time, Ruth is on the Committee of a Championship Dog Show and enjoys attending shows. She also enjoys walking, kayaking and researching her family history.
