Sara graduated from the University of Bristol in 2009 obtaining an intercalated degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine. After a year practising in the UK she spent 4-years in New Zealand, treating exotic pets and wildlife, followed by 6-months undertaking externships in the USA. Sara returned to the UK in 2014 to work with British wildlife, exotic pets and teach veterinary students. She completed her RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Zoological Medicine) in 2016.

Sara joined Bristol Zoo in July 2017 and is studying towards her European Diploma in Zoo Health Management. Sara’s main interests are conservation and reintroduction medicine.
